In many areas, there are resources for available veterans who have experienced troubles and have landed in the Criminal Justice System. In some counties in Texas, there are special courts set up that understand the difficulties that veterans face and can provide a second chance. In some qualifying circumstances, arrests can even be removed from criminal histories or sealed so that private companies can't see them.
Our veterans have sacrificed to protect our American way of life. It is our responsibility to help them when they need it as a small token of our appreciation.
